There was Friendster, then Multiply, MySpace and now there’s Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, among other things. As these types seem fantastic for helping connect with friends, classmates, neighbors, and acquaintances, including people from your past with whom you have completely lost touch, such sites could also prove to be “a mean place” where some people take their gripes, battles and axes to grind to the fore. Again, the “caveat emptor” tagline I always utter.
