Google Secure Search shuts out SEO scammers - GMA News Online - The Go-To Site for Filipinos Everywhere: "Google has started securing its search with a twofold process that can potentially shut out scammers who rely on search engine optimization (SEO) to lure victims to their sites.

Computer security firm Trend Micro said Google's new search process effectively keeps SEO scammers in the dark on what search terms are popular.

"(B)lackhat SEO sites won’t be able to access those stats either. It’s very useful for them to know what search term they have successfully hijacked. This is bad for them also for statistical purposes. When these sites receive visits from search engine visitors, they will have no idea what search sent them there. They won’t have a clear idea which search terms work and which don’t, so they are essentially in the dark," it said.

Arcade gaming is dead. Long live arcade gaming. - GMA News Online - The Go-To Site for Filipinos Everywhere

Arcade gaming is dead. Long live arcade gaming. - GMA News Online - The Go-To Site for Filipinos Everywhere: "In the early 90s, teenage boys would troop to the shopping malls to test their mettle against others in fighting games like Street Fighter II and Mortal Kombat. Those days are long gone. The thrill of one-on-one, hand-to-hand virtual combat in video games like Street Fighter II has been replaced by the strategy-based group skirmishes of multiplayer games like Counter Strike and DOTA (Defense of the Ancients).

Old school arcade duels remained dormant for more or less a decade...that is, until the launch of Street Fighter IV for IOS in early 2011.

With the release of this simplified, “light” version, creators Capcom studios enticed “hardcore” arcade gamers to give Apple’s mobile operating system a serious look. Now, gamers can play against each other using the Ipod Touch or the Iphone 4 via Bluetooth. And this time, they can literally take the action outside.
