Twitter CEO Dick Costolo said Twitter signups via iOS 5 devices tripled since iOS 5's launch last week, tech site Mashable reported.
Costolo revealed these stats during an interview at the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco.
Although Costolo did not immediately cite specific figures, Mashable said the direct integration of Twitter into iOS 5 has resulted in a boost for Twitter.
Costolo also disclosed Twitter now has more than 100 million active users.
Earlier, Twitter disclosed it had surpassed 200 million tweets per day in June, but has since jumped to nearly 250 million daily tweets.
Twitter had around 100 million tweets per day in January 2011.
