Report: ‘Farmville’ film in the works - Technology - GMA News Online - Latest Philippine News: "If the popular mobile phone game "Angry Birds" can be adapted for the silver screen, why not the similarly popular social networking game "Farmville?"
Talks are now in progress with the writers of the hit movie “Toy Story" to make a movie based on the Facebook monster hit game, news-entertainment site IGN reported.
"So, yes, we will continue writing movies. We are also working on several new and very exciting opportunities. We're in conversations with Zynga to do something with one of their brands. Can't really say too much on that front yet, but 'Old MacDonald' didn't have a factory, if you get our drift," IGN quoted “Toy Story" writers Alec Sokolow and Joel Cohen as saying.
IGN noted that while there had been previous rumors about game publisher Zynga working on a “Mafia Wars" film, a Farmville movie has never been revealed.
