Acer, Lenovo to launch quad-core tablets - GMA News Online - The Go-To Site for Filipinos Everywhere: "Acer and Lenovo are planning to launch quad-core tablet computers running Ice Cream Sandwich, the latest flavor of Google’s operating system for mobile devices.
Tech site DigiTimes cited sources who said the new devices are to be launched in the first quarter of 2012 to compete against Samsung and Asustek’s Eee Pad Transformer Prime.
But DigiTimes said its sources also noted competition over the quad-core tablet PCs will be difficult as these quad-core devices will only see improvements over their performance and design, but will still feature the same concept as their dual-core predecessors.
