The same three officials have now appeared in the same meditative huddle with Jose Rizal and other national heroes, in the middle of Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper," in the iconic album cover of The Beatles’ “Abbey Road," and within music video stills of Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance" and Shakira’s “Waka Waka," among many other examples of the social media mob's creativity.

Tiananmen protest leader launches online 'democracy school' - Technology - GMA News Online - Latest Philippine News: "Twenty-two years after the historic 1989 pro-democracy protests at Tiananmen Square in Beijing, China, an exiled student leader of the movement launched an online school on "democracy."
Wang Dan, who is now based in Taipei, said he hoped to educate young Chinese on democracy so they can help institute political democratization in China.
"While I know Chinese authorities would make every effort to block access to the online school on the mainland, I believe the facility would be able to reach out to tens of thousands of Chinese studying abroad," Wang said, according to a report on Taiwan's Central News Agency (CNA).

Paul Yang, Google Maps engineer, said this 3-D view will give motorists a preview of the terrain and sights along the route they plan to take.
"To preview your own route, it is as simple as clicking on a button. Start by entering your starting point, destination, and mode of transport like any directions... Then, click on the '3D' play button. The map will switch to Earth view and automatically start flying you along your recommended route," Yang said in a blog post.

News on the so-called “Anti-Angry Birds Bill" is going viral on social networking sites after the satirical website “So, What’s News?" posted a story on this last Friday. The bill was supposedly filed by Quezon City Rep. Winston Castelo, who earlier filed a bill against planking during street protests.
The satire said Castelo got the idea for the bill when he went Christmas shopping the other day at a mall. “Everywhere I looked, ‘Angry Birds’ this, ‘Angry Birds’ that! Where is the product diversity? Shouldn’t the DTI be monitoring this?" the representative supposedly said.
